Event Details

Hello everyone,

You are invited to participate in a pacific and very important “1minute4peace” action, Saturday May 27th 2017 in Ottawa. The goals of this action is to send a big wave of love and peace to humanity, to let people know about the UN vote on 7-7-17 to ban all nuclear weapons and to strongly encourage the Canadian government to vote for the ban of these weapons. We are joining the ICAN campaign.

It is suggested to the participants to wear white clothing for the visual impact. Take note that the Tamarack marathon will be taking place, so there will be a big crowd. The exact time and place of the action will follow very soon.

Can we count on your presence?

In the meantime, if you haven’t done so, you are encouraged to visit the following website to send our politicians letters and to sign the Hibakusha petition on banning nuclear weapons:

We will therefore meet at around 1:00 pm at the Canadian Tribute to the Human Rights Monument on Elgin Street, Ottawa, ON K2P 2L7 (corner of Lisgar Street, north east side).

Suggest you wear comfortable shoes, bring water and sun protection. If possible, be dressed in white or pale colors. This will be our base point and we will walk through the crowd.
