The Last Prophet, RAËL – the Messenger of ELOHIM

At age 27, on the morning of December 13, 1973, while he was still running a successful racing-car magazine business, Rael had an extraordinary encounter with a human being from another planet. It took place at an extinct volcano park in central France known as “Puy de Lassolas.” The extra-terrestrial gave Rael a new, detailed explanation of the origin of all life and information on how to organize humanity’s future. (These messages are contained in Rael’s book Intelligent Design.) After six consecutive meetings at the same location, Rael accepted the mission given to him by the extraterrestrial: to inform humanity of the revolutionary message and prepare humanity to welcome its creators, the Elohim, without mysticism or fear, and as conscious and grateful human beings.

Realizing the magnitude of this huge task during the first few months following this encounter, Rael almost developed a stomach ulcer. He finally decided to give up his much-loved career as a sports car journalist and devote himself to the task assigned to him by Yahweh, the extraterrestrial he had met.

Within the first year, he managed to find a publisher and get his book of Yahweh’s messages published. He was also a guest on two very popular French TV and radio shows, on which he announced a public conference. This first public conference, held in Paris on September 19, 1974, attracted more than 2,000 people. Shortly thereafter, he founded the MADECH association, a group of people interested in helping him accomplish his huge task. MADECH later became the International Raelian Movement. By the end of 1974, the association counted 170 members. There are now more than 70,000 members in 97 countries.

On October 7th, 1975, Rael had a second encounter with the Elohim representative and was given additional information. He put this additional information into a second book, which is included in Intelligent Design. Since 1975, Rael has been traveling the world, giving conferences and seminars on every continent and bringing together those who share the common desire of welcoming our creators, the Elohim.

Rael is also the author of several other books, including Sensual Meditation, which is a central part of his teachings; Geniocracy, which advocates more intelligent management of the planet; and Yes to Human Cloning, which explains how we can become eternal and enjoy an incredibly beautiful future, thanks to science.

Over the years, Rael has launched a number of humanitarian campaigns, including the promotion of condom use in schools; approval and encouragement for masturbation; the unequivocal request to have all religious books censured that promote violations of human rights; support for human cloning through the Clonaid Foundation; promotion of GMOs as the only solution to solve famine in the world; the creation of Clitoraid, a nonprofit organization that helps victims of female genital mutilation (by providing clitoral repair surgery so they can experience sexual pleasure, often for the first time); the call for all African traditional chiefs to gather and create the United States of Africa; and support for all minorities with the slogan, “Tolerating differences is not enough; we should love the differences.”

Rael has been a guest on major TV shows worldwide, including news shows such as 60 minutes, CNN, FOX News, and BBC News; and entertainment programs such as Breakfast with Frost and Entertainment Tonight, to name just a few. He was invited to appear before the U.S. Congress to explain his vision for science. He has also been the special guest of many world leaders, including President of Congo Denis Sassou N’Guesso, who was the first to invite him officially in 2000. Many celebrities have also acknowledged Rael, including Hugh Hefner and French author Michel Houellebecq.

Every culture on Earth includes something in its scriptures about an announced messenger, whether it is the Maitreya of the Buddhists, the Messiah of the Jews, the Paraclet of the Christians, or any other designation. The role of this long-awaited messenger, like all previous messengers, is not to please everyone, but to share what our creators expect from us. This has been Rael’s mission for more than 40 years. He travels relentlessly while pledging to never own anything, giving everything to help welcome our creators, the Elohim, at the Embassy they requested to be built before 2035.
