Montreal, May 16, 2019 The members of the Raelian Movement disagree on how the issue of Bill C-262 is dragging on. They organized a large-scale letter-writing campaign to the Senate of Canada and encouraged their peers to sign the petition  in the hope of speeding up the process.

Through social media, they also encourage the general public to do the same and denounce the Canadian government’s inertia in this matter.

They find it important to put pressure on the senators to endorse the bill linked to the “UNDRIP*”.

It is part of our mission to support any project that will help to restore justice that has been delayed for too long. Raelian philosophy advocates the restitution of land, the resurrection of customs, religions, indigenous languages and the federation into a united continent that incorporates, in harmony and social justice, all original and immigrant populations,” said Sara-Léha, head of the First Nation Fraternity Raelian Committee.

“It would be a first in our country to finally create a legal tool to help bring justice to Indigenous People and to recognize their special connection to the Earth and all living things. An example that we should all follow,” concluded Sara-Léha.
