Montreal, September 18, 2020 – Our humanity is at a crucial turning point in its existence. International tensions and the risks of our humanity self-destructing through nuclear war are greater than ever. There are thousands of atomic bombs in the world!
RAEL, spiritual guide of the International Raelian Movement and initiator of the international One Minute for Peace campaign, has explained for more than 40 years: “A hundred people meditating for peace in a city can lower its crime rate. Therefore, if every person on Earth decides to contribute by offering one minute a day of meditation for peace and love, we can change the entire planet!”
It is with this in mind and to celebrate the International Day of Peace that the leaders of the One Minute For Peace and No More Armies campaign invite their fellow citizens to come and walk and meditate for peace with them, this weekend of September 19-20, in several cities across Canada, such as: Ottawa, Trois-Rivières on Saturday, September 19; Vancouver, Toronto on Sunday, September 20. Also there will be a Facebook Live meditation marathon on Saturday, September 19 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
During these pacifist events, citizens will also be asked to sign a petition demanding that the Canadian government reactivate Bill C-272 on NO COMPLICITY to wars. This law would allow conscientious objection and the right of a taxpayer to demand that his taxes not be used for military purposes.
