When science will remove suffering
Suicide: our choice, our freedom!)

“Martin and Fatima wanted to die. Some members of their family wanted to accompany them in this gesture, but society did not allow them to reach death with serenity.” This article on blog has provoked many reactions.

Suicide is traditionally condemned by religious doctrines. So an article on the possibility of assisted suicide can only provoke powerful emotions.

When pain becomes intolerable and we know that it will never go away, death seems to be the only way out, beyond our beliefs. We choose to aspire to a peaceful nothingness and perhaps to the hope of a promised paradise.

Whether we provoke it or not, from the moment we are born, death is inevitable; how can we prepare for it? How can we fearlessly imagine death, this great unknown? For Raelians, by feeling the infinite.

Through meditation, we can feel the infinite. The infinitely large, the infinitely small, feeling connected to everything and nothing. To feel the infinite is to feel immortal because we are stardust and the matter that composes us will never disappear.

Nowadays, in the face of suffering, death is a choice. But, imagine when science will soon be at the stage where physical and mental suffering will no longer be a valid choice? It will then be time to reflect on a quote dictated to Rael by the Elohim: “When, thanks to science, men will be able to suppress the suffering of their fellow men, they will be able to ask themselves whether it is good or bad to suppress themselves.” – The Keys in The Message given by the Extraterrestrials.

While waiting for this very close day, let’s live each moment as if it were our last.
