This year, GoTopless Day is Sunday, August 23rd, three days before Women’s Equality Day, because August 26 happens to fall on a Wednesday. It is indeed on Aug 26th, 1920 that women earned their right to vote on the basis of Gender Equality. In 1971, the US Congress has made Aug 26th into a nationally recognized date and named it “Women’s Equality Day”. The president of the United States is summoned to commemorate this date each year.

On Sunday, August 23rd, people in cities around the world are invited to stand up for women’s right to go topless in public.  So will we in Vancouver.

We will meet in Kits Beach on the West side of the parking lot.

Time: from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm
Where: Kits Beach
When: Sunday, August 23rd, 2020

We are also pleased to invite you to the international conference online to discuss what has been achieved in the past decade in terms of equal gender topless rights, how is society transformed through this process, and where we go from here. Find all details of the conference here.
